DOCOMOMO
DOCOMOMO (Documentation and Conservation of buildings, sites and neighborhoods of the Modern Movement), is an international organization with national and regional working parties around the world including DOCOMOMO.WEWA – a regional volunteer working party covering Western Washington. DOCOMOMO.WEWA is dedicated to building appreciation and public awareness of the significance of Modernist buildings and structures in Western Washington through education, documentation, and advocacy. This working party provides a variety of educational and social opportunities for members and the public and advocates for the preservation and interpretation of Modern resources.
Eastside Heritage Center
The Eastside Heritage Center was established in 2001 through the merger of the Bellevue Historical Society, in Bellevue, and the Marymoor Museum of Eastside History, in Redmond. Our Mission: "To steward Eastside history by actively collecting, preserving, and interpreting documents and artifacts, and by promoting public involvement in and appreciation of this heritage through educational programming and community outreach."
Everett Public Library – Tracing the history of Snohomish County Buildings
Great Fire of Seattle, 1889
This online exhibit presents a series of documents concerning the Seattle Great Fire of 1889. Images of the handwritten documents are accompanied by explanatory notes. Historic Seattle
As Seattle grows and changes, so does the need for community preservation advocacy. Historic Seattle supports the sensitive development of our built environment; we advocate thoughtful urban planning, design, and historic preservation that is focused on building community and enhancing livability. Historic Seattle acts as a catalyst for community preservation action and a respondent to specific preservation problems, issues, and queries. Kirkland

Seattle Historical Postcards
This small online exhibit consists of vintage postcards featuring parks, buildings, and other sites in Seattle. The parks represented are Kinnear, Leschi, Lincoln, Madison, Madrona, Mount Baker, Volunteer, and Woodland. The Society of Architectural Historians
Marion Dean Ross Chapter
is "a small congenial group of people from diverse professional backgrounds who enjoy an interest in architecture. We believe the built environment reflects the culture of our region and we value its contribution to our quality of life." The organization's mission is to support and further the objectives of the Society of Architectural Historians; hold meetings for the study and discussion of historically significant architectural sites in the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere; and, to increase awareness and knowledge of the region's architectural heritage and of the history of architecture worldwide. The site contains information on forthcoming conferences, membership, student participation and some helpful links related to architectural history and the Board of Directors (link on site) welcomes inquiries.
Washington State Legislative Building
This online exhibit celebrates the December 2004 re-opening of the Washington State Legislative Building. Presents a brief history and statistics about the building, which was designed by Walter R. Wilder and Harry K. White. Includes photographs and images of the building's predecessors, its dome,
elevations, floor plans, construction plans, stone-cutting details, interiors, the surrounding government buildings, and the damage that occurred in the earthquakes of 1949 and 1965.
Washington State/Puget Sound Regional Archives
Collection includes WPA (Work Progress Administration) King County property record cards with photographs, 1937-1972. Information may include construction date, building use, small sketch of the footprint of the building, and some floor plan diagrams. To access this information you will need the tax identification number of the property or the legal description. The Archives is located on the Bellevue Community College Campus.
