Cascade:
"Tenass Chuck" Grows Up
From native settlement to hipster haven, the Cascade neighborhood has been front and center during Seattle's history. Visit this heart-of-the-city community and learn how it has persevered and is now prospering again. Once a working class neighborhood, with roots pre-dating the Denny party, surviving buildings, like the stately Troy Laundry and the opulent St. Spiridon still reflect its dynamic roots. Tour stops include Cascade Park, the new Cornish Art School and the uniquely Seattle REI flagship store.

This tour lasts approximately two hours and begins in the South Lake Union neighborhood, on the island in front of Enso, at the corner of Westlake Ave. and Denny Way at 10 a.m. unless otherwise noted below. Advance registration is strongly encouraged; walk-ups are limited to space available. Tour is $15 in advance/$25 day of.
