Art Deco:
Risky Business in the Roaring '20s
Revisit the 1920s and learn how technology, archeology, and French design innovations influenced the construction of impressive buildings with lush lobbies in Seattle and learn why the era of Art Deco architecture was so brief. The Art Deco style expresses elegance and innovation at the same time, and a visit to these structural gems allows you to (re)discover for yourself how designs of the radio era are still well loved today in the digital age. Featured stops include the Exchange Building by John Graham Sr. and the Seattle Tower (formerly the Northern Life Tower) by Joseph Wilson.

This tour lasts approximately two hours and begins at the SAF Gallery, 1333 5th Ave, 3rd Floor, Rainier Square Atrium at 10 am unless otherwise noted below. Advance registration is strongly encouraged; walk-ups are limited to space available. Tour is $15 in advance/$25 day of.
